Electrical Architect and Systems Engineer
Established in 2017, Infinite Orbits is a NewSpace company, based in Toulouse, pushing
\nthe boundaries of in-orbit services with cutting-edge spacecraft driven by its own
\nRendez-Vous solution, an advanced Autonomous Vision-Based Navigation Solution. IO
\nhas two generations of missions
\n"Orbit Guard" provides Inspection and Space Situational Awareness services in
\nGEO. Our first, OG-1 was launched on 1 May 2023, the second is launching in
\n2025 and the third third launching in 2026.
\n"Endurance" is a docking service capable of extending the life of GEO telecom
\nsatellites, by taking over AOCS takeover for 5 years.
About the Role\nTo complete our dynamic and international team, we are looking for a profile of an experienced Avionics architect and systems engineer!
Job Description\nBuild overall system architectures (power, data, RF)
\nOwner of link budgets
\nUnderstand design drivers and carry out trade-offs to build the spacecraft
\nsystem-level design that includes a selection of concepts for bus voltage, power
\ngeneration, storage and distribution, latch-up protection and redundancy.
\nSelect heaters, temperature sensors, motor drivers and data acquisition systems for
\nthe same.
\nWork with subsystem suppliers at all phases - searching, vetting, RFI/ RFP, SoW
\ndefinition, negotiation, monitoring and reviewing.
\nBuild and manage the electronics AIV methodology with associated hardware,
\nincluding harnesses, adapter boards, check-out panels, GSE design, manufacturing,
\nand testing.
\nSelect appropriate new space standards for carrying out quality and reliability
\ncontrol, including derating analysis, qualification and acceptance.
\nAssist in developing flight software at the application level.
\nDevelop module-level verification plan (A,I,R,T) and carry out verification for 3rd
\nparty and in-house developed electronics modules.
\nAssist in designing electronics for IO's RdV sensors and computers, including selection
\nof components, PCB designing and production, assembly and end-to-end testing.
\nDesign radiation test campaigns if needed.
\nAssist in building FDIR strategy by understanding fault modes of all electronics
\nmodules.
Requirements\nBachelor’s Degree in Aerospace, electronics or electrical Engineering or equivalent
\nhigher qualification.
\n7+ years of relevant experience in working with satellite design, manufacturing and
\ntesting.
\nStrong experience in systems engineering
\nStrong experience in AIV
\nKnowledgeable in GNC
\nExperience in working with satellites electronics systems such as power systems
\n(such as solar panels, PCDU, batteries), Communications systems (RF hardware,
\nSDR, antennas), flatsats and GSE.
\nHave a good understanding of various modulation, encryption and CCSDS
\nstandards, PUS packets.
\nPro-activeness and ability to work in a self-directed, fast-paced and
\nresult-oriented environment.
\nOrganised profile.
\nWe value team spirit and problem-solving.
\nGood to have:
\nMaster's degree in embedded, electrical, electronics, software or mechatronics
\nfield.
\nKnowledge of PCB design software such as Altum
\nKnowledge of CAD design software such as Onshape, CATIA or Solidworks
\nExperience with GNU radio, RF test equipment
\nCoding abilities in python and C
\nThe French Language is a plus.
