Overview
The EIB, the European Union's bank, is seeking to recruit for its Chief Financial Controller Directorate (CFC) – Corporate Financial Planning and Control Department (CFPC) – Contract & Vendor Management Division (C&VM) – Contract & Vendor Management Unit 1 (C&VM1) at its headquarters in Luxembourg: TRAINEE.
Duration: 5 months (fixed start date: 1st September/October 2026) (With possible extension up to 6 months if required by University).
Only applicants who are nationals of the Member States of the European Union, as well as citizens from candidate countries, can be considered.
Objective of the Traineeship
You will support the implementation of DORA (Digital Operational Resilience Act) ICT contract remediation activities and the Vendor Performance Management framework. The traineeship provides practical exposure to regulatory compliance, contract management and vendor governance within the European Investment Bank.
Responsibilities
- DORA Contract Remediation:
- Support analysis of ICT‑related contracts against regulatory requirements.
- Maintain remediation tracking and summary documentation.
- Support preparation of guidance and reporting material.
- Vendor Performance Management:
- Support analysis of vendor and performance data used in the Vendor Performance Management pilot.
- Contribute to documentation, templates and presentations.
- Support reporting and follow‑up actions.
- Cross‑cutting:
- Prepare structured notes, summaries and presentations.
- Support documentation and knowledge management activities.
Academic Qualifications and Professional Skills
- Final year of studies or university degree in law, economics, business, management or a related field.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Interest in regulatory, contract and governance topics.
- Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, in particular Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent command of English; knowledge of another EU language is an advantage.
