Position Summary
The Director of Business Optimization manages sales and marketing initiatives for a group of senior living communities in an assigned geographic region. Responsibilities include developing strategic success plans based on company goals to promote revenue growth and improve customer experience, business and market development, customer expectation management, marketing of promotions and advertising, and supporting the move‑in process.
The DBOS coaches and develops the communities' sales directors, providing training, coaching, and mentorship. The role also involves covering open sales positions as requested and coordinating lead‑generating events and referral relationships to meet occupancy and revenue goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Mentor community sales and marketing activities and development.
- Support all solutions, sales, and marketing efforts for assigned communities to grow revenue and maintain occupancy goals.
- Develop strategic and long‑range business and market plans for each community with input from executive and corporate teams.
- Manage market research, promotion and advertising strategy, and ongoing customer experience improvement.
- Maintain referral relationships and other tasks necessary to meet overall marketing objectives and exceed portfolio goals.
- Other duties as assigned by direct supervisor.
Requirements
Candidate Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, hospitality, or a related field preferred.
Experience, Competencies, And Skills
- At least five years of progressive sales experience, preferably within senior living or hospitality, with a successful sales leadership track record.
- Multi‑site or regional experience is a plus.
- In‑depth knowledge of sales strategies and methods.
- Experience with Yardi or similar CRM software preferred.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proven problem‑solving abilities.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized, self‑motivated, and able to motivate others.
- Visionary leader with high integrity.
Special Requirements
- Must reside in the market (WA or OR).
- Capacity to travel within the assigned region; travel expectation to communities is at least 65% (at least 3 days/week) and may be required up to 100% in market.
Salary
$130,000 - $150,000
