Director, Digital PR

We’re hiring a Director of Digital PR to own the strategic vision, department P&L, and delivery excellence of our Digital PR function.
The Role
We’re looking for a seasoned leader to build, lead, and scale a high-performance Digital PR department from the ground up. This senior leadership role is responsible for architecting the service offering, managing a team of 3-6 specialists, and integrating PR efforts with our SEO, GEO (Generative Engine Optimization), and content programs.
You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with our Organic Growth Strategists, Editorial Leads, and the executive leadership team to secure brand authority and drive measurable growth for the world's leading SaaS brands.
This is the perfect role for a strategic heavy-hitter who has mastered agency-side execution and is ready to shape a department, grow a team, and own the roadmap.
Your Responsibilities
- Vision & Ownership: Develop and own the Digital PR service line, ensuring it aligns with high-level client business goals and Omniscient’s growth trajectory.
- Innovation: Lead the planning and execution of multi-channel PR campaigns across US, UK, and global markets, staying at the bleeding edge of AI search and SEO.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee budget planning, resource allocation, and performance forecasting for the department.
- Content Orchestration: Work with Editorial and Research leads to amplify “Original Research” assets, turning data into headlines and high-authority backlinks.
- Mentorship: Build out, manage and coach a team of PR specialists, fostering a culture of high-stakes ownership and experimentation.
- Scaling: Build the hiring roadmap, lead recruitment, and design the onboarding/training processes to maintain quality as the department grows.
- Growth: Conduct performance reviews and develop professional growth plans for your team members.
- Strategic Consulting: Lead client consulting calls, acting as the subject matter expert on PR strategy and its impact on organic growth.
- Relationship Management: Partner with CMOs and Marketing Directors to define goals and solve complex strategic challenges.
- ROI Advocacy: Define and monitor KPIs to ensure client satisfaction and long-term retention.
- Visibility Strategy: Execute strategies to increase brand visibility in AI-powered engines (e.g., ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Perplexity).
- Brand Perception: Optimize off-page campaigns to increase “Citation Share” and maintain messaging accuracy within LLM responses.
- R&D: Ideate and run experiments across Reddit, content syndication, and influencer channels to see how they influence AI search results.
- Definition: Establish the standard for Digital PR KPIs, including earned media value, citation share, and SEO impact.
- Iteration: Use data-driven insights to pivot strategies and enhance campaign effectiveness across the portfolio.
Who You Are
- Experience: 7+ years in Digital PR, with at least 3+ years in a senior leadership or Director-level role within an agency environment.
- Proven Results: Track record of delivering high-impact campaigns for B2B or SaaS brands.
- Executive Presence: Comfortable working with C-suite executives and communicating complex strategies with clarity and authority.
- Decision Maker: Bias toward action, makes great decisions quickly, and iterates to improve as you scale.
- Adaptable: Thrives in the gray area of a growing agency, agile, and doesn’t require a rigid manual.
- Tech Savvy: Proficient with BuzzStream, Cision, Ahrefs, and emerging AI tools.
