#CORE Data & Analytics Release Release Train Engineer (RTE) (M/F)

MARIGNANE, 13
il y a 21 heures

Take off with Airbus Helicopters! Airbus Helicopters is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Release Train Engineer to join our Information Management (IM) / IT Department within the Analytics Solution domain based in Marignane or Donauwörth. Join us to shape the future of aeronautics and help protect lives during missions accomplished thanks to our helicopters. The Marignane site, the 3rd largest industrial site in France, near Marseille and Aix-en-Provence, is undergoing a deep transformation to offer a high-tech, inclusive, and environmentally friendly working environment. You will live a unique professional experience, at the heart of the manufacturing of our helicopters.

Role Mission

The RTE is the Primary Facilitator and Operations Leader for the Agile Release Train (ART). Rather than managing people, you manage the Value Stream. You are responsible for the health of the “Team of Teams” ecosystem, ensuring that delivery is predictable, impediments are cleared at the team of teams level, and the ART operates as a synchronized, high‑performance unit.

Core Responsibilities

Operational Steering

You drive the rhythm of the ART. You don't just “schedule meetings”; you design the communication architecture (Sync-ups, PO Syncs, Coach Syncs) that allows 50–125+ people to move in the same direction without friction.

Driving Execution

You own the operational roadmap for the PI (Program Increment). You track progress against Program Objectives and use data‑driven insights (Flow Metrics, Velocity) to identify where the “engine” is stalling.

Architecting the PI Planning

You are the lead architect of the ART’s most critical alignment event. You ensure the “Content” (from Product Management) and the “Capacity” (from the Teams) meet in a way that produces a committed, realistic plan.

Systemic Impediment Removal

While Scrum Masters handle team-level blockers, you tackle systemic issues—budgeting silos, cross‑train dependencies, and infrastructure gaps—that prevent the ART from reaching its full potential.

Strategic Skills & Mindset

  • Operational Excellence: A systems‑thinking mindset. You look at the whole train to find the bottleneck, rather than just optimizing individual teams.
  • Servant Leadership through Facilitation: You lead by creating the environment for success. You provide the guardrails and the data that allow teams to self‑manage effectively.
  • Predictability & Transparency: You are the source of truth for the ART’s health. You ensure that Business Owners have a transparent view of progress, risks, and the actual flow of value.
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
    • Program Predictability Measure: How well is the ART delivering against its planned objectives?
    • Flow Efficiency: How much time is work spent “waiting” versus “moving”?
    • ART Health: The eNPS and maturity levels of the “team of teams.”

Your Profile

  • Education: Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
  • Experience: 5–8 years’ experience in related area.
  • Problem‑Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with a strong ability to troubleshoot organisational challenges.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate AGILE concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Agile Experience: Expert with agile development methodologies.
  • Industry Knowledge (Preferred): Understanding of the aviation or aerospace industry and its data challenges.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English is essential. Knowledge of French is advantageous.
  • SAFe Framework Expertise & Event Facilitation: Mastery in orchestrating and facilitating large‑scale Lean‑Agile events, specifically Program Increment (PI) Planning, Inspect & Adapt (I&A) workshops, and Scrum of Scrums across the entire Agile Release Train (ART).
  • Servant Leadership & Agile Coaching: Proven ability to lead without hierarchical authority, coaching Scrum Masters, Product Managers, and teams on Lean‑Agile principles, while driving conflict resolution and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Impediment Removal & Flow Optimization: Strong track record in identifying and clearing systemic roadblocks, managing cross‑team dependencies, and optimizing the value stream using metrics like Flow Efficiency and Program Predictability.
  • Risk & Dependency Management: Expertise in driving proactive risk mitigation strategies, visualizing critical‑path dependencies via the Program Board, and aligning technical runway risks with business priorities.
  • Strategic Alignment & Backlog Management: Strong collaboration skills with Product Management and Business Owners to manage the Program Backlog, apply WSJF (Weighted Shortest Job First) prioritization, and ensure execution aligns with Lean budgeting and strategic themes.

Benefits & Requirements

  • Security Clearance: Required.
  • Compensation and Benefits: Global, competitive, and transparent package including salaries, bonuses, profit‑sharing, participation, and preferred share ownership plan.
  • Well‑being and Development: Professional development, health coverage, retirement, and support for work‑life balance (parental support, flexibility).
  • Social and Economic Committee (CSE): Company restaurant, children's leisure centre, associations and sports complex, travel allowances, etc.
  • Transport Facilities: Company shuttles or reimbursement of annual transport pass.
