Chief Product Officer for High-Growth Tech
Roadmap · Discovery · Delivery · PM team
This is not a job posting for one specific company. XAnge is a VC firm: we keep a curated pool of senior profiles and introduce them to our portfolio startups when the right role opens up. This page describes what a Head of Product / CPO role typically looks like across our portfolio.
Work at an XAnge portfolio startup
You would join one of XAnge’s 80+ portfolio companies : fast-growing European tech startups building meaningful products across B2B SaaS, Healthtech, Fintech, Climatetech and beyond. These are scale-ups where the product is the growth engine, with small, ambitious teams where ownership is real, decisions are fast, and your impact is visible from day one. Every company in the pool is backed by XAnge (Siparex Group) and surrounded by a community of 80+ founders and operators to lean on.
The team and why we need you
As Head of Product / CPO, you typically join a founder‑led company that needs to move from founder‑led product intuition to a structured, outcome‑driven product organization. You might be the first senior product hire or step in to scale an existing PM team. You own product strategy and execution, report directly to the CEO/founders, and partner closely with Engineering, Design and the GTM teams.
Why we need you
Building the right things, in the right order, with limited resources is the challenge.
Your goals as Head of Product / CPO
Your mission is to turn strategy into a product that drives measurable outcomes. Typically, you will:
- Own the product vision and roadmap, aligned with company strategy and OKRs.
- Install strong discovery and delivery practices (user research, JTBD, opportunity solution trees, agile delivery).
- Drive data‑driven prioritization (OKRs, A/B testing, funnel analysis) and measurable product outcomes.
- Recruit, structure and grow the PM team, from first PM to a structured org.
Who we’re looking for
We care about track record and mindset, not pedigree. 10+ years is a guideline, not a hard rule: exceptional profiles below that threshold are welcome. Preferred experience: 10+ years in product management with several leading a product team (Seed to Series B+), having owned a full roadmap in lean, agile environments. Hard skills: product discovery (user interviews, Jobs-to-be-Done, opportunity solution trees); data‑driven prioritization (OKRs, A/B testing, funnel analysis, Amplitude, Mixpanel); tooling (Jira, Linear, Notion, Figma); solid grasp of technical constraints. Soft skills: user‑centric mindset; close collaboration with Engineering and Design; clear communication and influence; leadership; comfortable with ambiguity. Also relevant: CPO, VP Product, Chief Product Officer, Product Lead.
