Job Purpose
Based on the activities assigned by his/her hierarchy, the Sales Manager is responsible for the commercial development (sales volume, margins, customer satisfaction, market share, etc.) of his/her perimeter. He/she manages and leads a sales team.
Business Development
- Define the sales strategy for his area, based on the sales policy defined by management and in collaboration with his superiors
- Contribute to the segmentation of customers and sales sectors in collaboration with the marketing and sales teams
- Ensure the effectiveness of sales coverage within its perimeter
- Analyze the market and monitor the competition to identify new opportunities (markets, customers, technologies, etc.)
- Ensure the commercial development of its perimeter (prospecting, promotion of offers, portfolio management, etc.)
- Coordinate commercial offers (sales, after‑sales, etc.) to meet customer expectations, in collaboration with internal stakeholders
- Supervise invoicing of customer files
- Ensure the resolution of customer disputes and the collection of accounts receivable, in collaboration with internal stakeholders
- Ensure data updates in business tools (customer data, opportunities, competition, etc.)
Sales Animation
- Define and monitor the sales objectives of the sales teams within its scope and manage sales actions accordingly
- Define, monitor and update indicators to track activity (coverage, customer visits, participations, etc.) and take corrective action where necessary
- Maintain relations with financial organizations to optimize our sales offers. financing
Financing Management
- Ensure that resources (means, human resources, etc.) are correctly sized on the basis of activity, in collaboration with line management
- Support and monitor the team(s) assigned to him/her (integration, skills development, etc.)
- Participate in the application of HR policy (performance, compensation, etc.) in collaboration with Human Resources teams
- Manage, monitor and control the working hours and absences of the team(s) assigned to it (hours worked, vacations, calendar, etc.), using business tools where necessary
Responsibilities and Scope for Action
- Guarantees the development and sales promotion of its scope of activity
- Ensure that the sales objectives of the area covered are met
- Ensure that the sales strategy is applied and understood
- Ensure that business tools (CRM, etc.) are used correctly
- Contribute to the management of commercial disputes and collections within its scope
- Know, apply and enforce internal and external compliance procedures and rules
- Support and ensure the performance of your teams and your scope of responsibility
Professional Knowledge
- 5 years' higher education in a commercial field and/or 5 years' significant experience preferred
Specific Knowledge
- Technical skill(s) – General commercial knowledge (sales, negotiation, customer relations, etc.)
- Technical skill(s) – General product knowledge (ranges, functions, etc.)
- Technical skill(s) – General knowledge of IT tools and information systems
- General management knowledge – Intermediate level of English (B1)
