Position Overview

Coördinate and implement the operational excellence program, fostering a continuous improvement culture and providing tools, techniques, and capabilities for autonomous organization development.

Responsibilities

  • Apply continuous improvement principles, tools, and techniques to create a zero‑loss culture that strengthens capacity to identify, eliminate, and prevent loss generation.
  • Drive a CI culture that questions the status quo and changes employee behaviours.
  • Train collaborators on CI tools and techniques so they can lead their teams through CI cycles; coach and support them to reach goals.
  • Encourage leaders to manage performance using balanced scorecards; review KPI performance, use root‑cause analysis for missed targets, and implement corrective actions.
  • Conduct external benchmarking and, where appropriate, apply best practices and new tools with internal partners.

Key Responsibilities – Manufacturing Excellence Program (France)

  • Own improvement results by driving TPM implementation across four French plants (Besançon, Charleville‑Mézières, Jussy, Vervins) in collaboration with operators and support services.
  • Facilitate practical problem‑solving sessions to address real failures, equipment and process losses.
  • Perform gemba walks, identify opportunities for improvement based on real‑time observation and data.
  • Organize autonomous maintenance workshops, ensuring operators apply IL6S methods daily.
  • Track results, ensuring TPM initiatives lead to measurable improvements in OEE, downtime reduction, and defect rates.
  • Collaborate directly with operators, team leaders, and line‑centered organization to build a culture of equipment responsibility.
  • Assess progress, review and report to plant management.
  • Support and advise the plant leadership team on pace, quality, and expected results of the program implementation.

Qualifications

  • Experience implementing CI processes (e.g., TPM in manufacturing, Lean Six Sigma in consumer goods).
  • Leadership focused on others, strong teamwork.
  • Experience in change‑management processes.
  • Effective communication and organisational skills.
  • Strategic thinking and influencing ability.
  • Teaching skills to develop talent.
  • Result orientation and ability to manage ambiguous situations.
  • Experience in continuous improvement, engineering/projects, production.

Success Profile

  • Hands‑on experience implementing TPM (training teams, driving cultural change on the shop floor).
  • Facilitate problem‑solving sessions and take ownership of results.
  • Enjoy working directly with production teams, demonstrating TPM principles.
  • Involve operators and all management levels in TPM, ensuring ownership of maintenance and problem resolution activities.
  • Strong facilitation and coaching skills to guide teams through CP.
  • Understand production challenges and adapt TPM implementation across different environments, focusing on concrete outcomes.
