Context
Aperam Alloys and Specialties is a leading global player in the Alloys & Specialties business relying on an international footprint, with operations spanning Europe, Asia and in the United States. The Division is growing fast. First step was organic growth resulting in doubling the Division’s Ebitda from historical 50M to 100M today. The next step aims at further growth through internal and external growth. The enhancement of the Division’s efficiency and performance, capacity expansion and external acquisitions.
To support the growth of our division, we are looking for a divisional Head of WCM Program to drive the cultural and technical transformation of our global production sites worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Define and maintain the divisional WCM roadmap and guidelines, ensuring rigorous implementation across all global sites while leading pre‑assessment and certification processes.
- Act as the central lead for a global network of site continuous improvement managers, fostering a collaborative environment to share best practices and harmonize operational excellence initiatives.
- Serve as a strategic advisor and coach to site managers and continuous improvement leads, guiding them through the managerial shift required to sustain a high‑performance WCM culture.
- Oversee the deployment of core WCM pillars—including Autonomous and Professional Maintenance (ARMP), 5S, and Quality Management.
- Collaborate closely with the Aperam technical transversal platform (CTO) to align divisional roadmap with corporate standards.
- Design and oversee comprehensive training frameworks to elevate skills at every level, from the shop floor to senior management, ensuring the long‑term appropriation of new methodologies.
- Establish and monitor management indicators to audit progress, measure impact of the transformation, and transparently communicate the division’s maturity development.
Qualifications
- Experience working within multi‑site or international manufacturing organisations.
- Degree in business, engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years of technical/managerial experience in an industrial environment.
- Proven track record of implementation of World Class Manufacturing (WCM) or/and Asset Reliability Management Program (ARMP) in a large organization.
- Strong knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (QRQC, TPM, JIPM, Six Sigma).
- Proven project management capabilities with the ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Strong communications skills: ability to influence at all levels of the organization (from shop‑floor operations to senior site management).
- Leader as a coach: recognized as specialist/expert and with ability to coach organization and people.
- Minimum 40% international travel required across Europe, Asia and the US.
- Fluent in French and English.
