Responsibilities
- Use data engineering skills to revolutionize data collection, processing, and storage, making data accessible, secure, and actionable for the organization.
- Author detailed technical documentation defining project specifications and data requirements, ensuring objectives are understood and achieved through close collaboration.
- Act as the main liaison between the Data Engineering team, internal and external clients, and other Thales professionals, facilitating smooth communication and coordination.
- Apply DevOps and Continuous Delivery methodologies to accelerate AI development cycles, leveraging modern backend technologies (Python, Java, MongoDB) and agile practices.
- Configure and maintain essential DevOps/DevSecOps tools—build/CI/CD systems and code repositories—to support an agile and secure development culture within CortAIx.
- Manage on‑premise infrastructure interactions, integrating and maintaining AI solutions that meet strict defense sector security and sovereignty requirements.
- Lead the exploitation of data and AI at CortAIx, pushing the limits of what is possible in defense and beyond, while promoting ethical and responsible AI.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree (BAC +5) in engineering or a related program with experience in Data/AI Engineering, including model deployment and maintenance.
- Knowledge of big‑data technologies and of cloud/on‑premise environments.
- Experience in software engineering, MLOps, and DevOps practices.
- Motivated, autonomous, and proactive.
- Highly available and highly responsive.
- Strong team spirit and collaborative mindset.
Competences
- Deep expertise in Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, MapReduce, MongoDB, and Cassandra for designing scalable data architectures.
- Proficiency in programming languages C and Python, and backend framework development.
- Comprehensive understanding of cloud and on‑premises environments for scalable AI deployment.
- Solid grasp of DevOps practices, CI/CD, and DevSecOps with tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, and Docker.
- Strong problem‑solving, critical thinking, and communication skills for effective teamwork.
- Experience building and maintaining data pipelines in collaboration with Data/AI scientists, emphasizing efficiency and scalability.
