Zimmermann is seeking a Brand Ambassador to support and drive the performance of its key wholesale network in France, working across major department stores.
This role acts as the primary liaison between the Paris Head Office and strategic wholesale partners, including Printemps, le Bon Marché, and La Samaritaine.
Reporting into the Wholesale Manager (EU/UK) and working closely with the VP of Wholesale (International), the Brand Ambassador is responsible for driving in-store commercial performance, elevating brand presence, and ensuring execution of global visual merchandising and retail standards across all doors.
This role is highly field‑based and requires regular mobility between key department stores in Paris.
Purpose of the Role
The Brand Ambassador is responsible for creating brand awareness, driving in‑store sales performance, and ensuring the consistent execution of Zimmermann’s retail and visual identity across wholesale partners. The role combines client engagement, team leadership, merchandising excellence, and commercial analysis to support overall business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with store teams, personal shoppers, stylists, and sales associates
- Drive in‑store performance through product education and elevated client engagement
- Deliver a premium and personalised customer experience aligned with Zimmermann standards
Product Knowledge & Training
- Develop client‑facing seasonal training materials to support wholesale education programs
- Deliver seasonal training sessions across all key doors
- Ensure store teams are fully trained on product knowledge including fabrics, fit, construction, and styling
- Collaborate with VM Manager and Wholesale Manager on seasonal VM strategies and guidelines
- Adapt and implement door‑specific VM execution for flagship locations
- Ensure consistent brand presentation including merchandising, steaming, and garment care standards
- Build strong relationships with in‑store VM and stock teams to secure optimal product placement and visibility
- Monitor brand adjacencies and identify opportunities to improve in‑store positioning
- Provide detailed VM feedback and store visit summaries to the Wholesale team
Business Development
- Analyse door‑level sales performance and identify growth opportunities
- Monitor stock levels and support inventory optimisation with Wholesale Manager
- Develop strong partnerships with store and department managers to drive business initiatives
- Identify and escalat(e) in‑store marketing and event opportunities (trunk shows, activations, staff incentives, etc.)
- Proactively identify risks and opportunities impacting sales performance
- Deliver structured feedback on product performance (fit, pricing, sizing, prints, etc.)
- Track and review monthly sales performance against year‑on‑year targets
Health, Safety & Compliance (WHS)
- Contribute to a safe and compliant working environment
- Follow all health and safety procedures and policies
- Take responsibility for personal and team safety in‑store
- Report hazards, incidents, or risks promptly to management
- Ensure safe working practices are always respected
Skills and Specifications
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in luxury retail or department stores, ideally with visual merchandising exposure
- Strong understanding of luxury fashion, product construction, and client experience
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced retail environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong stakeholder management ability
- Commercially driven with a strong focus on sales performance and business growth
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong organisation and time management skills
- Comfortable working independently and within cross‑functional teams
