🌍 About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead direct sales efforts of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) targeting Utility clients and large-scale power plant projects. The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of the energy sector and a proven track record of direct sales (not channel/distributor) in the Utility landscape.
🧩 Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop direct sales opportunities for BESS solutions in Utility-scale projects
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts such as grid operators, energy developers, and EPCs
- Lead bid processes and commercial negotiations
- Monitor industry trends, competitors, and regulatory updates
- Collaborate with pre-sales and technical teams for solution proposals
- Represent the company at industry exhibitions and forums
🎯 Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Utility-side energy sales or business development
- Solid understanding of BESS, energy storage, grid integration
- Direct sales experience required – not via distributors or channels
- Excellent communication and commercial negotiation skills
- Engineering background preferred (Electrical, Energy, Automation)
- Open to travel
💼 Preferred Background
- Previously worked at Utility / Energy companies
- Hands-on Utility project exposure (e.g., with grid companies, IPPs, EPCs)
