Landing Gear Referent – Engineering Directorate

ATR is the world’s number one aircraft manufacturer in regional aviation, jointly owned by Airbus and Leonardo. We are looking for a Landing Gear Referent to join our Engineering Directorate’s Hydromechanical Systems team.

Your Mission

The Hydromechanical Systems team works across the full lifecycle of our systems, from feasibility phases to in‑service support. Your tasks will include:

• Contributing to the certification of landing gear systems and equipment throughout product evolution, including serial modifications and incremental developments.
• Leading and supporting in‑service investigations, identifying root causes, defining corrective or mitigating actions, and producing associated risk assessments.
• Providing technical support to the ATR Customer Care Center and to the Final Assembly Line by addressing customer or production queries with clear, accurate technical responses.
• Reviewing and challenging supplier documentation, such as technical reports and design change proposals, and delivering structured feedback to ensure compliance and robustness.
• Developing methods, tools, and processes related to ATR landing gear systems, supporting both the in‑service fleet and future aircraft developments.

About You

• Field of study: aeronautical or mechanical engineering.
• At least five years of experience in landing gear design, architecture or technical support.
• Technical knowledge of landing gear and hydraulics systems, design, certification and continued airworthiness processes.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, autonomy, curiosity, proactivity, rigor, attention to detail and strong teamwork.
• Fluency in English and French (Italian is a plus).
