Mission
As part of the Aircraft Operability & Technical Data department, the Flight Operations Engineering team develops and produces operational data for ATR aircraft. Your role is to define, develop and support the tools required for the production of operational data, while defining, monitoring and updating the working methods and processes to ensure sustainable, optimized production. You will also support the continuous improvement of customer products and services related to operational data in collaboration with the Customer Services department.
- Map, assess, and optimise the information system architecture in coordination with ATR’s Digitalisation Directorate and supporting entities.
- Ensure administration, support and operational maintenance of the operational documentation production tool (EDORA), involving the teams that developed the tool as necessary.
- Draft functional and/or detailed specifications for IT tools with support from users (internal/external), and oversee the development of these tools.
- Prepare specifications for calls for tender related to outsourced activities, take part in selecting suppliers, and ensure implementation and management of their services.
- Manage all project aspects (operational, financial, etc.) related to tool developments under the department’s responsibility.
- Define, monitor and update the processes and reference frameworks related to the activity.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives for tools, methods and processes.
- Provide expert support to the production activity across the entire process (authoring, freeze, data publication).
- Monitor production KPIs and identify performance improvement actions.
- Contribute to defining enhancements to customer products and services related to operational data, working with specialists from the team and the Customer Services department, and ensure corresponding tool and process developments.
- Support and maintain the tools associated with the product and service offer.
- Conduct technological watch activities and implement related actions.
- Contribute to ATR’s expert community and participate in its related initiatives.
Qualifications
- Degree specialised in IT project management related to Ops Data, with a technical foundation in software development.
- 10 years of experience.
- Expertise in technical documentation standards (S1000D, ATA2300, ATA2200, etc.) and in the development of related IT tools.
- Minimum technical skills: structured languages XML/SGML, XSD/DTD, knowledge of relational database modelling.
- Experience in information system management (mapping, functional architecture).
- Experience in process management (modeling, documentation frameworks).
- Knowledge of operational documentation configuration management and related criteria (MOD/SB, certification, etc.).
- Knowledge of the aeronautical environment and aircraft operational documentation.
- Soft skills: strong communication, ability to coordinate and unite stakeholders, proactive, organised, autonomous, team‑oriented, open‑minded, strong customer‑oriented mindset.
- Fluent in English and French (Italian is a plus).
