About the AI/ML Engineer - Paris Role

Quod Financial is hiring an AI/ML Engineer - Paris to join its Data Science team , focusing on cutting-edge GenAI and machine learning R&D for real-time trading systems.

As a member of this team, you will help shape the future of algorithmic trading by developing intelligent products powered by large-scale simulation, training, and ML optimization. You’ll collaborate with product and engineering teams, yet retain autonomy to research, test, and present high-impact ideas.

This full-time, on-site role is ideal for someone ready to push the boundaries of AI/ML in the FinTech space.

Responsibilities

• Develop GenAI-driven features for trading decisions, trade/execution reporting, and smart automation.
• Design and improve ML-based optimization models for algorithmic trading workflows.
• Build simulation environments for model training and validation of multiple trading scenarios.
• Present prototypes, explain technical decisions, and contribute to product evolution.
• Work independently while coordinating closely with other data science, software, and product teams.

Requirements

• Strong background in machine learning theory (math, statistics) and/or GenAI applications.
• Hands-on experience in Python , especially for ML prototyping and automation.
• Familiarity with Linux command-line usage and SQL for data interaction.
• Experience with AI/ML tools like TensorFlow , Docker , or similar deployment stacks.
• Fluent English communication and presentation skills.
• A self-driven, independent mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with LLMs , prompt engineering, or foundation model fine-tuning.
• Background in financial applications , algorithmic trading, or performance analysis.
• Familiarity with Airflow , MLflow, or model monitoring tools.
