Position Overview
We are recruiting an Accountant to reinforce our local finance team in Sweden, working under the supervision of the Chief Accountant within the Finance Department of the Marine & Offshore Division.
The STEGRA project, located in Boden, Sweden, involves the construction of a green steel mill and an electrolysis plant powered by renewable electricity and water from the Lule River. The goal is to produce 5 million tonnes of high‑quality green steel by 2030.
Key Responsibilities
- Record daily accounting entries and manage supplier and customer accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly closings.
- Support tax declarations and compliance with local requirements.
- Reconcile bank statements and follow up on payment schedules.
- Provide support to project teams regarding cost tracking.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in accounting.
- Proven professional background in Scandinavia (Norway, Sweden, Denmark, or Finland) with full knowledge of local accounting and tax regulations.
- Knowledge of Swedish GAAP and tax procedures.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Swedish is a strong asset.
- Organised, reliable, and able to work in a team.
