The Opportunity

This is not a typical sales role. It is an opportunity to work at the centre of complex, high‑value decisions with some of the world’s largest organisations. As an Account Executive at Oritain, you will drive net new business acquisition across EMEA, engaging enterprise businesses with revenues exceeding €1bn. Each conversation has weight, each deal has impact, and every win helps shape how global supply chains are verified and trusted. You will own your pipeline from the ground up, generating opportunities through outbound prospecting, cold outreach, and genuine market engagement.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Build a strong, self‑generated pipeline, driving outbound prospecting with real intent, including cold calling, targeted outreach, and strategic account mapping to achieve a pipeline worth 3–4 times your annual quota.
  • Engage senior stakeholders across sourcing, sustainability, quality, and compliance functions, shaping solutions that directly address the risks those teams manage daily.
  • Orchestrate technical, legal, and commercial colleagues to bring the right expertise together at the right moments.
  • Connect Oritain’s forensic science capabilities to clients’ concerns around origin verification, ESG accountability, and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain discipline through clear forecasting, strong pipeline visibility, and focused execution to exceed ambitious targets.
  • Partner closely with Account Management and Service Delivery to ensure every client lands well and becomes a trusted long‑term partner.

What You Bring

  • A strong track record in enterprise B2B sales, closing complex, high‑value opportunities against ambitious quotas (ideally £1M+ annually) and maintaining momentum across six or more months.
  • A genuine hunter instinct: you build your own pipeline through outbound activity, cold calling, and proactive market development; previous experience as an SDR/BDR or demonstrable pipeline generation is a differentiator.
  • Confidence operating at senior levels, engaging and influencing CEOs, CSOs, ESG Heads, and Risk Directors while also conversing credibly with sourcing, sustainability, quality, and compliance teams.
  • A structured, methodical sales approach supported by recognised methodologies such as MEDDIC, Miller Heiman, or Challenger, yet adaptable to ambiguity and evolving customer needs.
  • Full professional fluency in both English and French (mandatory); professional proficiency in Italian or German is a strong plus.
  • Experience in compliance, ESG, sustainability, or supply‑chain integrity, particularly within fashion, retail, grocery retail, private label, or home textiles businesses.
  • Curiosity, emotional intelligence, and the ability to build trust.

The Details

  • Based in Paris and part of a global team, representing Oritain across the EMEA region at client meetings, industry events, and key conferences.
  • Travel across EMEA is expected at approximately 20% of the time.
  • Salary: €70,000–€80,000 with a double OTE.
