Web3 Software Engineer
The employer is a leading Decentralized Finance (DeFi) lending autonomous algorithm protocol deployed onsecure, efficient, flexible lending protocol based on the Ethereum blockchain enabling lending and borrowing services.
They are opening a Web3 Software Engineer role (Remote EU) on a permanent basis.
Missions
You will be central to the company's efforts in creating an innovative, scalable, and resilient rewards system. Working closely with a team of top-tier engineers, you’ll be responsible for tackling the complex challenges of an event-driven architecture, focusing on performance optimization, security, and web3-specific implementation hurdles.
Technical Architecture & Development
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable, event-driven architectures to ensure efficient and secure rewards distribution.
- Proactively identify bottlenecks and optimize the rewards system’s performance in line with the company’s growth trajectory.
- Design, develop, and test web3-integrated applications for the rewards system, including blockchain reading, indexing, transaction execution and automation development.
Code Quality & Feature Ownership
- Champion code quality and resilience by applying best practices, such as robust testing and comprehensive documentation.
- Take ownership of feature development, from scoping and initial coding to integration and deployment.
- Actively participate in code reviews and share insights to uphold the team's standards and best practices.
- Coordinate with peers to facilitate seamless feature integration and ensure a shared understanding of project goals.
- Contribute to team health by fostering open communication and collaboration, aiding team members with project scoping and workload distribution.
- Serve as a technical reference within the team, setting standards for both technical and collaborative practices.
Requirements
Hard Skills
- 6+ years in software development, including 3+ years in web3.
- Deep expertise in TypeScript, strong architectural knowledge, and proven code quality practices.
- Proficiency with testing tools and practices (e.g., Hardhat, Jest, Mocha).
- Extensive experience with web3 tools and scalability topics about EVM.
- High proficiency in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in large-scale architecture built on EVM, such as indexers, monitoring, or event-driven systems.
Nice to Have
- Contributions to open-source projects or experience with collaborative web3 projects.
- Familiarity with DevOps (Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform) and previous experience on significant web3 projects.

Contract: Permanent
Location: Paris or Remote (can be based anywhere in Europe / EU Timezone)
Salary: 100 to 200k USD
