VC Director @ Colam Impact in Paris, France
An impact investment subsidiary of the Colam Entreprendre Group, Colam Impact aims to develop innovative companies with social and environmental impact, through financial investment in these companies and long‑term support for the men and women who run them.
Colam Impact invests patient capital to finance a profitable and sustainable model and supports the development of these companies. As part of an ambitious deployment programme, Colam Impact is currently recruiting an investment director.
The position
Main missions:
- Implement the investment strategy to serve triple economic, impact and family performance;
- Initiate and monitor the prospecting strategy to ensure deployment objectives over the period 2025‑2030;
- Ensure the smooth running of the investment process: from sourcing investment opportunities to legal signature and payment of invested funds;
- Contribute to the monitoring of Colam Impact portfolio investments and ensure the implementation and monitoring of Colam Impact’s support offering.
Detailed missions:
The Investment Director’s main missions will be to ensure:
- Monitoring the investment process
- Sourcing. Promote the sourcing of investment opportunities proactively and lead the monitoring of incoming investment opportunities (pre‑analysis with the team, meetings, monitoring of email returns) carried out by investment managers and analysts and contribute to Colam Impact’s active sector monitoring;
- Develop and manage the network of partner funds and prescribers.
- Supervise files currently being examined with the lead analyst (monitoring blockages in their analysis, participating in discussions with the company, preparing files for the Board of Directors);
- Carry out exit scenarios and financial performance assumptions;
- Conduct legal and financial negotiations. Ensure the smooth running of the legal closing of investments under the conditions validated by the Colam Impact Board of Directors.
- Monitoring portfolio performance
- Manage the monitoring of portfolio holdings and partner funds allocated to it;
- Oversee and participate in the semi‑annual financial and impact reporting of the portfolio;
- Valuate portfolio holdings twice a year for the valuation committee and the auditors;
- Ensure the implementation and monitoring of Colam Impact’s support offer.
- Monitoring of participations and partner funds
- Represent Colam Impact in governance in the strategic committees of the investments allocated to it;
- Represent, with the delegation of the President, Colam Impact at the General Meetings of the portfolio companies or at the information meetings of the portfolio funds.
- Managing the relationship with shareholders and Colam Entreprendre
- Contribute with the entire team to maintaining relationships with families and participate in general meetings, family meetings and other meetings;
- Contribute to the operational and communication relationship with the Colam Entreprendre teams.

Beyond a passion for the project, we believe that certain skills and interpersonal skills are key. This position is for you if:
- You have more than 10 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years specifically in venture capital, demonstrating a solid knowledge of the entire investment cycle – support – sale of interests.
- You have strong skills in corporate financial analysis and venture capital investment engineering.
- With excellent interpersonal skills and a commercial temperament, you have a strong appetite for developing networks and creating relationships with all the key players in the sourcing ecosystem.
- You already have successful experience in managing a prospecting strategy within a VC fund.
- You understand and master corporate law in relation to venture capital investment (mastery of all aspects of shareholder agreements).
