About the Role
The urology team in Vernon is seeking a new colleague to join their busy, well‑established practice. You will provide a full spectrum of urology services, including elective and emergency surgical care, outpatient clinics, and a variety of endoscopic and minimally invasive procedures.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive urology services, perform surgeries, manage patient care in outpatient and inpatient settings, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications
- Fellowship training in female and reconstructive urology
- Prior experience in general urology and comfort with regional on‑call responsibilities, given shared call with Royal Inland Hospital (RIH)
- Interest in robotic urology, with a future robotic platform planned for VJH
- Potential interest in pediatric urology
- Interest in medical student and resident teaching, supported by expanded training capacity at VJH (four additional medical student and family practice resident positions per year)
- Access to cystoscopy and OR resources equivalent to other Interior Health centres
- Leadership development opportunities through Interior Health’s NAVIG8 Program
Benefits & Compensation
Compensation Type: Fee-for-Service. Relocation Funding: up to $9,000 for moves within BC, $12,000 for moves within Canada, $15,000 for those relocating from outside Canada.
