Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic trainer with specialized expertise in digital transformation within the energy sector to deliver a high-impact Digitalisation for Oil & Gas course in Paris. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in digital technologies combined with direct experience in the oil and gas industry, and the ability to engage senior executives and technical professionals through practical, real-world scenarios and strategic exercises.

Key Responsibilities

Design and deliver a comprehensive training program on digitalisation tailored specifically to the oil and gas industry, covering digital transformation strategy, IoT and sensor technologies, big data analytics, artificial intelligence, automation, and the digital oilfield across upstream, midstream, and downstream operations.

Develop and utilize engaging training materials, including case studies, digital simulations, technology demonstrations, and practical templates and roadmaps that participants can apply directly within their organizations.

Facilitate interactive sessions on implementing digital twins, predictive maintenance, remote asset monitoring, data-driven decision-making, cybersecurity for operational technology, and integrating emerging technologies into legacy infrastructure.

Guide participants through real-world case studies, such as digital oilfield deployments, AI-enabled production optimization, and successful (and failed) digital transformation programs, to reinforce practical application.

Provide expert mentorship and strategic insights to help participants align digitalisation initiatives with long-term organizational goals, operational efficiency, safety improvements, and return on investment.

Evaluate participant understanding and progress through interactive exercises, group discussions, and scenario-based assessments.

Requirements

Proven experience as a trainer, facilitator, or instructor in digital transformation or digital technologies, with a specific focus on the oil and gas industry.

Substantial professional background in a digital, technical, or operational leadership role (e.g., Chief Digital Officer, Digital Transformation Lead, Operations Technology Manager, Data/Analytics Manager) within an oil and gas operator, service company, or engineering firm.

Deep understanding of oil and gas value chains (upstream, midstream, downstream) and the digital technologies transforming them — including IoT, AI/machine learning, big data, cloud, digital twins, and OT/IT cybersecurity.

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex digital and technical concepts to senior, non-technical executives.

Proficiency in using interactive training methodologies, including case studies, simulations, and group discussions.

Based in or able to travel to Paris for the duration of the training program.
