About the Role

Our client, a pioneering company in the Videojuegos y Esports industry, is seeking a skilled Tester de Automatización de Videojuegos to join their fully remote, globally distributed team. This role is pivotal in enhancing the efficiency and scalability of our quality assurance processes by developing and implementing automated testing solutions. You will design, code, and maintain automated test scripts to validate game functionality, performance, and stability across various platforms. As a fully remote professional working from Mexico, you will collaborate closely with development and QA engineers, driving innovation in our testing methodologies and ensuring the highest quality for our games. This is an exceptional opportunity for a technically adept individual with a passion for automation and gaming.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test frameworks and scripts for video games.
• Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure continuous testing and integration.
• Identify opportunities for automation within the existing QA process.
• Collaborate with developers and QA engineers to understand feature requirements and technical designs.
• Analyze test results, troubleshoot automation failures, and report defects effectively.
• Optimize test automation scripts for speed, reliability, and maintainability.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices in test automation.
• Contribute to code reviews and mentor other team members on automation techniques.

Requirements

• Proven experience in test automation, specifically within the video game industry or a related software field.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as C#, Python, or C++.
• Experience with automation tools and frameworks relevant to game development (e.g., "Unity Test Runner", "Unreal Engine automation tools", "custom frameworks").
• Solid understanding of QA methodologies, test design principles, and software development lifecycles.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., "Git") and CI/CD tools (e.g., "Jenkins", "GitLab CI").
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and English.
• Ability to work effectively in a fully remote team environment.
• Experience with game engines like Unity or Unreal Engine is highly preferred.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Mexico.
