Overview

As a Telephony Infrastructure Engineer, you will join the team responsible for delivering all components of the IT environment. This includes managing workstations, overseeing directory services, handling messaging platforms, and enhancing the security of existing infrastructures.

The team operates in an international context and is currently undergoing significant transformation, requiring an expert with advanced skills in telephony, particularly in software-based telephony solutions using platforms such as Microsoft Teams and other leading providers.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Oversee and maintain telephony infrastructure services, ensuring high availability and performance across the IT environment.
  • Manage and execute service changes, including conducting impact assessments and planning rollbacks as necessary.
  • Provide Level 3 support for telephony-related issues to beneficiaries, troubleshooting and resolving complex incidents.
  • Actively contribute to ongoing and new projects related to telephony and IT workplace solutions.
  • Participate in meetings with various entities to align telephony strategies and share technical insights.
  • Ensure comprehensive documentation, including procedures, Design Acceptance Tests (DATs), and all other relevant materials, is maintained and up to date.

Job Requirements

Experience

  • 8+ years in a similar role within complex IT environments, with proven expertise in telephony and collaboration systems.

Mandatory Skills

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Teams Telephony solutions.
  • Experience with various softphone solutions (e.g., NTT, ODIGO, AWS Connect, Cisco, Genesys).
  • Solid understanding of legacy telephony systems (e.g., Cisco, PABx).
  • Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken, to communicate effectively with colleagues and partners across international teams.
  • Familiarity with Azure (Azure AD / AD Connect) and its integration with other Microsoft solutions/products.
  • PowerShell scripting skills for automation, maintenance, and transformation of telephony and IT systems.
  • Experience with Windows Server environments (AD, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
  • Knowledge of telephony infrastructure layers (e.g., SBCs).
