GE HealthCare’s Cardiology Solutions team is driving innovation to transform cardiology care pathways through integrated solutions and customer‑centric design.
We are seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead strategic projects that combine advanced medical device technology, user experience design, and collaborative development with clinicians. This role will manage complex technical projects, ensuring seamless integration of systems and fostering innovation through design thinking and iterative co‑development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead complex technical projects from initiation to delivery, ensuring scope, schedule, and quality.
- Develop project plans, manage risks, allocate resources, and report progress to stakeholders.
- Coordinate cross‑functional teams (engineering, clinical, UX, product management) and resolve issues.
- Facilitate ideation workshops, prototype development, and usability testing.
- Lead system design and integration activities, applying sound engineering principles and leveraging technical expertise to ensure robust, compliant, and high‑quality solutions.
- Apply design thinking methodologies to co‑create solutions with customers and engage cross‑functional teams to incorporate product feedback into iterative development.
- Translate project priorities into actionable plans for Scrum teams; actively participate in PI planning, sprint planning, and reviews.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics).
- Significant experience in engineering/product development, including technical project management for medical devices or HealthCare technology.
- Demonstrated project management skills including initiation, scoping, resourcing, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, quantitative analysis, and communication.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban) and experience with global distributed teams.
- Knowledge of design thinking, UX design, and customer co‑development processes.
- Problem‑solving mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive clarity in complex projects.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively across diverse teams and with external stakeholders.
Preferred
- PMP, ScrumMaster, or equivalent certifications.
- Experience in medical device domain with FDA or similar regulatory exposure.
- Familiarity with cardiology workflows and imaging systems (Ultrasound, IGS, CT).
- Proficiency in LEAN principles and continuous improvement practices.
