Inuka is partnering with a private equity–backed renewable energy developer to appoint a BESS Technical Director to join their high-impact team in Paris. The successful candidate will lead the technical strategy for utility-scale battery energy storage projects across Europe, shaping both technical execution and commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and technical development of utility-scale BESS projects across Europe
• Define and execute procurement strategies for batteries, inverters, and related systems
• Negotiate supply and EPC contracts with key technology providers and OEMs
• Manage internal technical teams, engineering consultants, and subcontractors
• Advise senior leadership on technical risks, opportunities, and project decisions

Qualifications

• 12–15 years of experience in energy infrastructure, with a focus on BESS
• Strong track record in battery system design, procurement, and execution
• Demonstrated experience negotiating with OEMs and EPCs
• Professional background with a developer, IPP, or engineering consultancy
• Familiarity with large-scale energy projects across Europe
• Based in France or willing to relocate to Paris
• Fluent in English; French proficiency is an advantage
