Technical Architect/Lead Biometrics

Strasbourg , France ( 20 days onsite;200 days offsite )

This profile will define the architecture and lead the technical delivery of software components for biometric applications. The role focuses on architectural design, integration and technical leadership, working closely with domain specialists, developers, security and infrastructure teams. Previous experience in biometrics would be a strong advantage.

Key responsibilities

• Own the technical vision, architecture and roadmap across multiple software components.
• Translate business and operational requirements into architectural designs, interfaces and technical specifications.
• Design modular, reusable and extensible solutions that integrate with existing information systems.
• Lead technical decisions and design reviews, ensuring performance, scalability, security and maintainability.
• Guide development teams, resolve technical issues and manage dependencies and integration risks.
• Define technical acceptance criteria and oversee alignment between architecture and implementation.
• Essential knowledge and experience
• Proven experience (10-12 years) as a software architect or technical leader delivering production software.
• Strong expertise in software architecture, system integration, APIs and reusable components.
• Experience integrating solutions across different technologies and deployment environments.
• Ability to assess technical options, explain trade-offs and document architectural decisions.
• Experience guiding multidisciplinary teams and coordinating technical delivery.

• Proven experience (10-12 years) as a software architect or technical leader delivering production software.
• Strong expertise in software architecture, system integration, APIs and reusable components.
• Experience integrating solutions across different technologies and deployment environments.
• Ability to assess technical options, explain trade-offs and document architectural decisions.
• Experience guiding multidisciplinary teams and coordinating technical delivery.

• Architecture modelling and technical documentation tools.
• Git-based collaboration workflows, preferably GitHub.
• Jira and Confluence, or equivalent tools.
• Understanding of automated testing, continuous integration and delivery, and software release management.
