Subsea Structure Engineer

Job Description

• Perform detailed design studies for subsea structures, including templates, manifolds, suction piles, guide bases, and protection structures (CP).
• Conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to verify structural integrity during lifting, launching, installation, and operational phases.
• Size foundation systems in collaboration with geotechnical data (seabed soil interaction).
• Collaborate with Pipeline and Riser engineering teams to manage connection interfaces (PLET/PLEM).
• Define installation methods and sequences: lifting analysis, stability checks during subsea descent, and vessel interaction studies.
• Draft technical specifications for Marine Warranty Survey (MWS) approvals regarding transport and lifting operations.
• Participate in installation simulations and validate operational weather limits (weather windows).

Requirements

• Structural Engineer ideally of experience in offshore subsea structure (FLET, Manifold, Suction pile, large mudmat…)
• On previous projects, reviews of drawings, work in cooperation with draftman, commitment on data provided to drafmen in advanced phase.
• Autonomy in the practice of design and calculation. Propopal of solutions to the lead on project.
• A presence at this office is requested at least 3 days per week.

Softwares / ERP knowledge

• Use on previous project of FEA software ABAQUS (2D shell and 3D volumic), ideally Beam software SACS and handcalculation.

Languages

• English (write and oral) is mandatory / French speaker ideally.
