Subcontract Manager

We are seeking an experienced Subcontracting & Procurement Specialist to support the delivery of complex project scopes. In this role, you will be responsible for defining and executing subcontracting strategies, managing tender processes, and overseeing subcontractor performance across the full project lifecycle.

You will work closely with cross‑functional teams including engineering, construction, and project management to ensure commercial success, contractual compliance, and effective risk management.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement subcontracting strategies in alignment with the Project Manager
• Establish and maintain approved vendor lists and subcontract work packages
• Prepare and manage the Project Procurement Plan and Design Package & Procurement Strategy
• Lead RFQ and tendering processes for subcontracted scopes
• Ensure Non‑Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) are in place prior to tendering
• Conduct commercial evaluations and drive supplier selection
• Prepare and submit clear recommendations for contract award

Contract Negotiation & Formation

• Lead or support commercial and contractual negotiations with subcontractors
• Ensure appropriate Terms & Conditions are applied and documented
• Validate alignment of contracts and purchase orders with overall project strategy

Subcontract Administration

• Manage subcontract execution throughout the project lifecycle
• Collaborate closely with engineering, construction, and planning teams
• Ensure effective contract administration and accurate documentation

Change Management & Claims

• Manage variations, change orders, and subcontractor claims
• Ensure all changes are properly captured, approved, and reflected in purchase orders
• Monitor subcontractor performance across cost, schedule, and quality
• Identify potential risks and implement mitigation plans
• Support resolution of commercial and contractual issues

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree or Master’s in Procurement, Engineering, or a related discipline
• Proven experience in contract management within EPC and subcontracting environments
• Strong commercial acumen and cost management capabilities
• Advanced negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• Experience managing complex, multi‑package procurement scopes
• Proactive approach to risk identification and mitigation
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, project‑driven environment
