We are looking for a Structural Designer for one of our client in Oil & Gas sector.
Your Mission
Produce precise and code-compliant 3D structural models and fabrication drawings for oil & gas projects (refineries, LNG terminals, offshore platforms, processing plants) using Tekla Structures, ensuring constructability, material accuracy, and alignment with engineering specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed 3D structural models (steel frames, foundations, supports, pipe racks, platforms) in Tekla Structures.
- Generate shop drawings, erection drawings, bending schedules, and material take-offs (MTOs) for fabrication and installation.
- Ensure compliance with structural codes (AISC, EN 1090, API 650, ISO 15926, etc.) and project-specific standards.
- Collaborate with structural engineers, piping designers, and construction teams to resolve clashes and optimize designs.
- Participate in design reviews, constructability workshops, and model coordination (clash detection with P&ID / PDMS / SmartPlant).
- Update models and drawings based on RFIs, site changes, and engineering revisions.
- Manage model versions and ensure proper documentation in PLM/EDMS systems.
Required Profile
- 5+ years of confirmed experience in Oil & Gas or heavy industrial projects (refineries, LNG, FPSO, offshore, chemical plants).
- Strong understanding of steel fabrication processes, welding symbols, bolting standards, connection details.
- Ability to interpret structural calculations, general arrangements, and client specifications.
- Familiarity with AISC, EN 1090, API 650, ISO 15926, PDMS/SmartPlant (for coordination).
- Team player, detail-oriented, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
