Join the AI team to develop the Medical Knowledge Platform, ensuring clinical decisions are grounded in verified medical guidelines and research. You will architect retrieval systems that support millions of patients and healthcare professionals across Europe.

What you'll do

• Build and manage the Medical Knowledge Platform to ground clinical AI in trusted sources like HAS guidelines and peer-reviewed studies.
• Own the complete retrieval pipeline, from indexing to online retrieval.
• Architect systems capable of handling 100M+ documents with sub-300ms latency and 50+ req/s throughput.
• Develop custom re-rankers, query processing pipelines, and evaluation frameworks.
• Engineer RAG systems that address the complexities of medical data beyond standard implementations.

Requirements

• Proven production experience scaling search and retrieval systems in high-traffic environments.
• Expertise in managing the full retrieval lifecycle, including both offline indexing and online retrieval.
• Hands-on technical background with Elasticsearch, Solr, Vertex AI, vector search, embeddings, and re-ranking.
• Experience operating at a Senior or Staff level with high technical autonomy.

Nice to have

• Experience with clinical databases, healthcare information systems, or medical knowledge sources.
• Background in building evaluation benchmarks for AI outputs in regulated, high-stakes sectors.
• Familiarity with multi-lingual retrieval or domain-specific ontologies.
