Staff Associate

Young Life in France is seeking a full‑time staff associate to join our developing ministry in Lyon, the second largest metropolitan area in France. The role involves working with local volunteers, a full‑time American staff person, and a local committee to expand ministry to one of the two Catholic high schools that feed our middle school. You will help reach French teenagers and make a positive impact on their lives.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate spiritual leadership on a personal and professional level.
• Participate in direct ministry with French teenagers (in French).
• Participate in staff and training events (in French and English).
• Recruit and train new leaders to build a relational team that reflects the community.
• Develop a plan to equip, disciple, and retain volunteer leaders (in French).
• Raise 100% of financial support and maintain good donor care practices with both local and U.S. donors.
• Communicate ministry updates and progress to donors.
• Maintain accurate information on kids, leaders, and donors in area records.
• Maintain professional relationships with school administration and teachers.
• Maintain confidentiality in an extremely secular country.

Qualifications

• Curiosity, adaptability, and open‑mindedness regarding French culture, and eagerness to learn.
• College degree required.
• French language degree, school, or college degree (or minor) in French required.
• Experience working with minors required. Experience as a Young Life volunteer preferred.
• Proven relational skills with both teenagers and adults.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.Three‑year commitment required.
