Specialist Engine & Nacelle Integration in-service (f/m)
Job Description
Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for an Engine & Nacelle Systems Integration Specialist to join our Engine and Nacelle System Functional Integration Team based in Toulouse.
Our team is the cornerstone of our fleet’s operational excellence, tasked with Engine and Nacelle integration for all Airbus civil fleets covering development, production, and in‑service support. The team uses a unique “Twins’ Team” structure: solidarity, dynamic collaboration, and an out‑of‑silos mindset are part of our DNA.
The modern aviation landscape presents immense challenges—ensuring continuous airworthiness, driving product improvements, and maintaining maximum fleet availability worldwide.
Your Challenges
- Solve complex technical issues linked to the in‑service phase, addressing urgent topics from production teams and global airlines.
- Act as a content authority for compliance, ensuring the Engine and Nacelle functional architecture strictly aligns with all engineering and airworthiness requirements.
- Bridge the gap between systems: Understand how complex engine mechanisms interface with core aircraft systems (hydraulic, fuel, bleed air, electrical generation) to find the right technical compromises.
- Drive cross‑functional coordination hand‑in‑hand with internal partners: Chief Engineers’ office, Flight Test department, Customer Support, Powerplant Center of Competences, and diverse Design Offices.
- Contribute to essential operational tasks and project management milestones to support continuous product improvement and fleet reliability.
Your Boarding Pass
- Graduate Engineer (or equivalent) in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering technical fields, ideally within complex propulsion or powerplant environments.
- Deep technical versatility with the ability to easily deal with a great variety of subjects (aerodynamics, materials, electric power, mechanics, manufacturing).
- A “Connector” mindset with a collaborative spirit, open‑mindedness, customer focus, autonomy, and a proven ability to liaise with multiple high‑level stakeholders.
- Fluency in English is mandatory (negotiation level). Proficiency in French (intermediate level) is a significant advantage.
Benefits
- Financial rewards: attractive salary, success and profit sharing schemes, employee savings plan and voluntary stock purchase plan.
- Work/life balance: extra days‑off for special occasions, holiday transfer option, staff council offering many social, cultural and sport activities.
- Wellbeing / health: complementary health insurance coverage (disability, invalidity, death); health services centre, concierge services, gym, carpooling application.
- Individual development: great upskilling opportunities and development prospects with unlimited access to 10,000 e‑learning courses, certifications, expert career path, accelerated development programmes, national and international mobility.
Additional Information
Global mobility: fluency in English (German and/or French is a strong plus) and willingness to travel (~20%) to stay connected with our global production sites.
