The Role
The Solutions Engineer (SE) acts as the technical bridge between Sales and customers during the pre-sales process. You will take ownership of the primary technical relationship, guiding customers through evaluation, design, and validation of Trend AI solutions.
This role requires strong technical depth, customer-facing confidence, and the ability to operate effectively in complex enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise in pre-sales engagements
- Design and deliver Proof of Concepts (POCs)
- Support customers in solution planning and implementation
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues across security and network environments
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Channel, and Specialist teams
- Share customer feedback and feature requests with Product Management
- Participate in beta programs and stay current with product innovation
- Deliver customer presentations, workshops, and technical training
- Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and SE readiness initiatives
- Travel regionally (approximately 30–35%) as required
Experience & Qualifications
We welcome both developing and experienced professionals.
Required:
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, solutions engineering, or professional services
- Experience with enterprise security technologies (firewalls, endpoint security, IDS/IPS, email/web security)
- Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
Preferred:
- SOC or Incident Response experience
- Certifications such as CEH, Security+, CISSP, or AWS certifications
- Scripting knowledge (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
