Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical bridge between Sales Representatives and pre‑sales customers, owning the prime technical relationship to help close business.
- Provide solutions to complex technical issues in the pre‑sales capacity.
- Deliver Proof of Concept services to pre‑sales customers and help clients with planning and implementation of TrendAI software products.
- Channel feature requests to Product Management to enhance TrendAI products with new features addressing customer needs.
- Participate in alliance projects, building vendor and customer relationships.
- Participate in TrendAI beta testing programs, including internal testing of products in alpha and beta phases.
- Perform software and network troubleshooting on complex technical issues.
- Maintain and expand working knowledge of current and beta (non‑released) TrendAI products.
- Assist in the development of the Knowledge Base.
- Provide product trainings upon request.
- Share best practices with other SEs to enhance the quality and efficiency of the team.
- Contribute to building the SE Readiness Program and develop subject‑matter expertise in assigned products and solutions.
- Travel regionally (about 30‑35%) for sales presentations, marketing and user group events, and emergency on‑site support to customer locations.
- Exercise independent judgment in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment to provide detailed technical knowledge of TrendAI software products in the pre‑sales context.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of solutions engineering experience and/or professional services experience.
- 3+ years of experience in computer software or systems, including security products such as firewalls, antivirus, intrusion detection, content security.
- Experience working with multi‑cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- 2+ years in SOC or incident response.
- Strong desire to learn and develop a career in cybersecurity and solutions engineering.
- Basic understanding of security incidents, network administration, and management of security solutions including endpoint/server, web filtering, email filtering, and IPS.
- Experience with Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Strong verbal and written communication, customer service, account management, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage own time effectively.
- Quick learner with a desire to learn new tools and techniques.
- Professional certifications are a plus: Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), and AWS certifications.
