Solutions Architect

ROLE DESCRIPTION

Your mission will be to act as the primary technical contact during the pre‑sales phase, guiding clients through the design of scalable, cloud‑native architectures in order to ensure successful adoption of Scaleway solutions and strengthen our position as a trusted cloud partner.

YOUR DAILY ROUTINE

• Act as the technical liaison for prospects and customers during the initial phases of their journey.
• Co‑create technical presentations, demos, and proof‑of‑conceptions with the sales and product teams.
• Guide customers in designing cloud architectures using Scaleway solutions.
• Anticipate and resolve technical challenges to accelerate deal closing.
• Provide clear, compelling value propositions adapted to both technical and executive audiences.
• Conduct technical deep dives and architecture reviews with clients.
• Collect customer feedback and relay insights to Product and Engineering teams.
• Stay up‑to‑date on public cloud trends, competitor offerings, and share knowledge internally.
• Contribute to the improvement of sales processes and documentation.
• Support strategic roadmap discussions and participate in key industry events.

ABOUT YOU

HARDSKILLS

• Proven experience (5–10 years) in cloud architecture or technical pre‑sales roles.
• Strong background in cloud computing, public cloud services, and container orchestration.
• Proficiency in one or more of the following: Infrastructure as Code, Linux, DevOps practices, application development.
• Experience with datacenter infrastructure and cloud‑native design patterns.
• Strong presentation and communication skills in both French and English.
• Bonus: knowledge of open‑source technologies, private cloud architectures, or experience as a technical speaker.

SOFTSKILLS

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to adapt communication depending on the audience (technical or business).
• Autonomy and ownership of responsibilities.
• Curiosity and eagerness to learn from the field and competitors.
• Comfort in a high‑stakes, client‑facing environment.
