Software Technical Support Engineer – Grenoble, France
Position: Software Technical Support Engineer. Location: Grenoble, France. Travel required: up to 75 % of the time.
Responsibilities
- Installation and configuration (35 %) – install and configure software solutions on customer equipment in a cleanroom Microsoft Windows environment; configure equipment network.
- Improve existing procedures and document new ones.
- Customer support (35 %) – analyze performance and issues; plan interventions; collaborate with software experts; support automation solutions; contribute to continuous improvement; develop new business opportunities.
- Testing & validation (15 %) – develop simulation platforms; test solutions with equipment‑specific test plans; validate and update installation procedures.
- Projects (15 %) – contribute to solution/product design, testing, documentation reviews, conferences; stay updated on software/network solutions; ensure quality standards; conduct internal training.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree (Engineering School, Bac+5) in IT/Networks, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Maintenance, or related fields.
- Recognized experience in demanding production or maintenance environments (semiconductors, aerospace, medical, nuclear, automotive, etc.).
- Hands‑on, field‑based work preference.
- Previous operational experience in large‑scale industrial ramp‑up environments preferred.
- Dual skill set in IT + mechanical or IT + electronics preferred.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to manage priorities and unforeseen situations.
- Excellent communication and customer‑facing skills, ability to build trust with stakeholders.
- Curious, rigorous, structured, analytical, adaptable to dynamic environments.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Fluent in English (oral and written).
- International travel required (up to 75 % of the time).
