Our client is supporting major Offshore Oil & Gas operations and requires an experienced Shutdown Inspection Engineer to prepare, coordinate and supervise inspection activities during planned shutdown campaigns. Working within an integrated project team, you will play a key role in ensuring safe and efficient execution of inspection scopes while maintaining asset integrity and operational reliability.

Position Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and coordinating inspection activities associated with offshore and onshore shutdown campaigns. You will interface with inspection teams, contractors, vendors and client representatives to ensure inspection scopes are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with project objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Shutdown Preparation & Planning

• Prepare inspection activities for planned shutdown campaigns
• Develop inspection procedures, workpacks and technical documentation
• Define inspection requirements including isolations, access and scaffolding needs

Inspection Coordination

• Coordinate offshore inspection activities performed by inspectors and third-party contractors
• Monitor inspection progress and ensure compliance with project requirements
• Interface with operations, maintenance and engineering teams throughout execution

Repair & Refurbishment Management

• Coordinate onshore refurbishment and repair activities following inspections
• Follow-up contractor activities and technical recommendations
• Ensure timely execution of corrective actions and equipment readiness

Material & Service Management

• Coordinate procurement of tools, spare parts and external services required for inspection activities
• Support logistics and mobilization planning for shutdown execution
• Monitor resource availability and readiness

Reporting & Stakeholder Management

• Prepare and present inspection reports to client representatives
• Provide regular project reporting related to shutdown inspection activities
• Maintain clear communication with all project stakeholders

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Inspection, Integrity, Maintenance, Turnaround or Shutdown activities within the Oil & Gas industry
• Experience coordinating offshore inspection campaigns
• Knowledge of pressure equipment, piping, static equipment or asset integrity management
• Experience in Operations, Field Engineering, Commissioning or Process Engineering is considered a strong advantage
• Strong organizational, communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proactive mindset with the ability to work in multicultural environments
• Proficiency with MS Office tools

Languages

• Fluent English mandatory
• Portuguese is a plus

Certifications

• Valid BOSIET (OPITO approved) preferred
• Offshore Medical Fitness Certificate
• Seaman Book and Yellow Fever vaccination are advantageous
