The automotive markets Holman serves include fleet management and leasing; vehicle fabrication and upfitting; component manufacturing and productivity solutions; powertrain distribution and logistics services; commercial and personal insurance and risk management; and retail automotive sales as one of the largest privately owned dealership groups in the United States.
We are seeking an experienced Shop Foreman to lead our team of Technicians in delivering exceptional service and maintaining high operational standards at Leith Honda . This role is pivotal in ensuring efficient workshop operations, developing technicians, and upholding safety and quality benchmarks.
We offer competitive wages that are commensurate with job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and geographic location, starting in the range of $90 - $105K+ USD annually (base salary + bonus and commission opportunities).
Primary Responsibilities
- Achieve monthly shop hour targets aligned with the annual budget.
- Maintain high levels of technician engagement and retention.
- Ensure technician training meets or exceeds OEM requirements.
- Monitor and uphold a high “Fixed Right First Time” score.
- Enforce safety standards as outlined in safety audit materials.
- Supervise and mentor a team of technicians and support staff.
- Assist in employee evaluations, goal setting, and performance management.
- Oversee daily workshop activities to ensure efficient workflow.
- Manage inventory and readiness of special tools and equipment.
- Collaborate with regional TDA (Technician Development Advisor) to support technician onboarding and career development.
- Serve as a liaison between various departments to ensure seamless operations.
- Participate in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring processes to maintain adequate staffing levels.
- Ensure compliance with all Holman policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in the automotive field as a technician.
- OEM Training/Certification – Master or highest applicable level.
- Additional education, certifications, or related experience is preferred, including ASE Certification and an Associate’s Degree in auto maintenance and repair.
- Proficient with computer diagnostic equipment and software.
- Familiarity with applications like MS Office, CDK, myKaarma, Factory Training Sites, and Cherwell.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to plan and prioritize work efficiently and effectively.
- Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
