Senior Cyber Security Engineer

A cutting-edge quantum computing start-up in Paris is looking for a Security Engineer to safeguard its internal systems and help scale its secure IT environment. Backed by recent multi-million euro investment, this venture is pioneering a novel approach to quantum processing by combining advanced materials science with semiconductor technology — with the goal of solving problems far beyond the reach of today's supercomputers.

You’ll work cross-functionally to:

• Lead and evolve internal information security practices
• Support compliance efforts and client security questionnaires
• Oversee risk assessments, vulnerability management & penetration testing
• Run internal IT infrastructure — ensuring secure, reliable systems (VPN, networks, endpoints)
• Deliver phishing simulations, training, and BCP/DRP support
• Shape long-term security posture in tandem with R&D and software teams

What You Bring

• 3+ years in IT security or internal systems management
• Knowledge of ISO 27001/27002 and risk frameworks
• Experience managing internal networks, endpoints, and infrastructure
• (Bonus) CISSP, CISM, or IT management certifications (ITIL, etc.)
• Fluent in English and French
• Be part of a 50-person team solving frontier challenges in quantum hardware
