Our client, a prestigious and well‑established organization, is seeking its future Head of IT Infrastructure & Operations to lead the IT infrastructure landscape and service delivery function.

This strategic role is accountable for the performance, scalability, security, and modernization of all core IT infrastructure services. In this dynamic environment, you will manage a hybrid team and take full ownership of key infrastructure domains including networking, datacenters, cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), enterprise Windows systems, and end‑user computing. You will drive the transition toward managed services where relevant, ensuring operational excellence and consistent service quality.

As Head of IT Infrastructure & Operations, you will define and execute the infrastructure strategy and roadmap. This position is located in the Lausanne area and comes with an attractive salary package.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end‑to‑end management of IT infrastructure, including network (LAN/WAN), storage, datacenter environments, Windows servers, backup & disaster recovery, and workplace services.
• Design and implement hybrid cloud strategies, integrating on‑premise and public cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) with a strong focus on performance, scalability, security, and governance.
• Ensure continuous availability and optimal performance of IT services.
• Manage internal teams and third‑party providers to deliver high‑quality infrastructure operations and service excellence.
• Oversee a multi‑million CHF budget, ensuring cost control, forecasting accuracy, and maximizing ROI on infrastructure investments.
• Collaborate with application, business, and digital stakeholders to ensure infrastructure supports enterprise‑wide needs and transformation initiatives.

Requirements

• 10+ years of leadership experience in IT Infrastructure & Operations within complex enterprise environments.
• Strong expertise across networks, datacenters, cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), workplace services, and enterprise Windows systems.
• Proven leadership in team management, vendor management, and operational governance.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including interaction with executive leadership.
