Role objective

As a member of the Finance team, the Sales & Operations Controller is responsible for providing financial transparency, performance monitoring and strategic control across both commercial and production activities. He/She acts as a business partner to Sales teams and Operations teams.

Reporting lines and interactions

This position reports directly to the Group Controller Manager in Switzerland. Close collaboration with Finance & Administration team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, prepare and monitor the plant budget and monthly forecasts, including production costs, variances and KPIs
• Perform detailed cost analysis and variance investigations (materials, labor, overheads, efficiency)
• Maintain and update product cost calculations and bills of materials (BOMs) in the ERP (Odoo)
• Monitor and analyse production efficiency, scrap and utilization rates
• Support process improvement initiatives and cost reduction projects in collaboration with Operations
• Analyse sales performance, including volume-price-mix effects and product-customer-region profitability
• Monitor gross margin and net sales, ensuring consistency between commercial forecasts and financial targets
• Audit Odoo sales orders to guarantee data integrity, complete information, and full compliance with contractual terms
• Track and analyse sales commissions and commercial deductions
• Support monthly closing (inventory WIP, accruals booking, revenue recognition)
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting principles
• Develop dashboards and performance reports for plant and sales management, in close collaboration with the Group Controller, while maintaining full alignment and uniformity with other departments' reporting standards.
• Support cash planning by forecasting both operational outflows and sales inflows.
• Actively contribute to digitalization and automation of controlling processes within the ERP (Odoo) and BI tools

Qualifications

University degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Industrial Engineering (Bachelor's or Master's level). A specialization in Controlling and Cost Accounting is a strong asset.

Experience / Skills

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in industrial and/or commercial controlling or manufacturing finance
• Deep understanding of revenue analysis, cost accounting, inventory valuation and production processes
• Experience with ERP systems (Odoo preferred) and strong Excel skills
• Fluent in English and French
• Analytical, structured and detail oriented with strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams
• Hands-on mindset, proactive approach and interest in process improvement
