Sales Manager UK & US (Native English Speaker) / Commercial anglais natif (H/F)
What you will do:
1. Own the English-speaking pipeline.
You handle inbound enquiries from riders in the UK, the US and the rest of the English-speaking world, from first contact to confirmed booking. Long, consultative sales cycles: a rider is committing to two weeks on a motorcycle in the Himalayas, not buying a plane ticket. You qualify, you advise and you close.
2. Grow the UK market.
The UK is our most mature English-speaking market and still far from its potential. You will represent Vintage Rides at UK motorcycle and travel shows several times a year, meet riders face to face, build relationships with clubs, dealers, media and partners, and turn that presence into bookings.
3. Bring the market back to the company.
You sit close to product, marketing and operations. What you hear from English-speaking riders (objections, expectations, pricing, itineraries, dates) is expected to shape what we build. You will be the voice of those markets internally.
What the job looks like day to day:
Calls and emails with riders, CRM work, quotes and follow-ups, coordination with our travel designers and local teams, market research, and a handful of trips a year to the UK for shows. You will also, at some point, ride with us on one of our tours. It is the best way to sell them.
The setup:
- Based at our Lyon office, working with the sales, marketing and operations teams.
- Travel to the UK several times a year for trade shows and partner meetings.
- You report to the Sales Director and work alongside a team of travel designers covering our French and international markets.
Must have
- Native English speaker. Our riders in the UK and the US should feel they are talking to one of their own, in writing and on the phone.
- Conversational French. You do not need to be fluent, and we will not test your grammar. You do need enough French to work naturally with a team that operates in French every day, and you should be willing to keep improving.
- 3 to 5 years of sales experience minimum, ideally in travel, hospitality, premium or considered-purchase products with a long sales cycle. You know how to build trust over several weeks, not how to push a discount.
- You have travelled by motorcycle. Not “you like bikes”: you have actually ridden, loaded up, somewhere far from home. Our riders can tell the difference in the first two minutes of a call, and so can we.
- You are comfortable travelling to the UK regularly for shows and partner meetings.
- You are structured. Clean CRM, disciplined follow-up, reliable forecasting. A lead that falls through the cracks is a rider who books with someone else.
Nice to have
- Existing knowledge of the UK or US motorcycle scene (clubs, media, events, dealers).
- Experience opening or structuring a new market, not just running an existing one.
- A motorcycle licence and the appetite to ride with our groups.
- Experience with a CRM.
Who fits here
We are a small company where autonomy is real and so is accountability. You will not be handed a script or a fully built market. You will be given a product people genuinely love, honest support from the team, and the room to build something. If you want a large structure with everything already in place, this is not it. If you want to own a market and see your fingerprints on it, come and talk to us.
