Duties and Objectives
The SaaS Technical Administrator is responsible for the day‑to‑day technical administration and management of Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions provided to the Organization.
He/she is a member of the Transition & Release Management Branch and participates in the general activities of the team with a special focus on his/her technical domain.
Principal Duties and Activities
Duty 1: Solution implementation
- Manages integration of SaaS or workflow solutions into the Organization’s information system.
- Participates in SaaS solution selection and performs required risk assessment.
- Manages design, development, implementation, and configuration of new workflows.
- Integrates the solution into the information system through API management and dataflow implementation.
- Collaborates with project managers, business analysts, data managers, and infrastructure specialists to select, implement, and maintain SaaS solutions.
Duty 2: Solution administration
- Acts as the technical administrator of the SaaS solutions provided by the Information Systems & Technology Directorate.
- Provides third‑level support and coordinates with internal or external third‑level support.
- Coordinates application maintenance and system upgrades.
- Establishes and maintains a catalog of the SaaS solutions used by the Organization.
- Participates in periodic review of SaaS solutions with internal compliance units.
Duty 3: Operation support
- Participates with other Transition and Release Analysts in global operation support activities.
- Defines and implements monitoring of SaaS solutions, manages related incidents, and participates in incident and KPI reviews.
- Develops and maintains automated tests to monitor availability and security of the service.
- Performs other duties as required by the supervisor.
Qualifications, Competencies and Skills
Education and Qualification Required
- Three to four years of university or specialised higher education in IT or computer sciences.
- ITIL certification.
Experience Required
- At least four years’ experience troubleshooting SaaS services, or
- at least two years supporting SaaS solutions in Cloud services such as Azure or AWS.
- at least two years designing, installing, and configuring SaaS solutions.
- Significant experience in IT operation/production.
- Relevant experience in workflow design, implementation, and management.
- Experience with Boomi, SharePoint, TalentSoft, ServiceNow, TimeControl, and Notilus is highly regarded.
- Experience managing APIs through a programming language is appreciated.
Languages
- Fluency in English is required.
- Fluency in French is desirable.
- Working knowledge of any of the other official languages of the Organization (Spanish or Arabic) would be an asset.
