Role
Rotating Machinery Procurement Manager, based in Villeurbanne, France, on a full-time contract basis. This role focuses on the procurement of rotating process machinery for the refining, gas, and petrochemical industries, leveraging turbomachinery expertise.
Responsibilities
- Drafting technical specifications for calls for tender.
- Reviewing technical offers and conducting clarifications with suppliers.
- Preparing technical comparison tables.
- Preparing equipment requisitions for purchasing.
- Following up supplier studies after order placement, verifying documents, and coordinating with other disciplines (process, installation, instrumentation, electricity, civil engineering, pressure equipment).
Skills & Qualifications
- Turbomachinery expertise: In-depth knowledge of rotating machinery including compressors, fans, agitators, and pumps.
- Fluent in English and French: Proficient in drafting documents and leading meetings in English and French.
- Procurement skills: Strong background in procurement processes and supplier management.
- Software proficiency: Experienced in using Word and Excel for documentation and analysis.
Education & Experience
- Required Education: Master’s degree (Bac +5) in general engineering or mechanical engineering, ideally with a turbomachinery specialization.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in rotating machinery and/or packages in refining, gas, or petrochemicals.
