Retail Learning & Communications Specialist

As we continue to grow our retail network, we are searching for a Learning & Communications Specialist (retail) to lead and deliver comprehensive retail learning and communications that support store performance across ANZ stores.

About The Opportunity

The role is a newly created which reports directly into our Head of Retail. The role will review and refining training programs, identifying learning needs, developing and implementing training solutions and ensuring consistent excellent customer experiences and drive sales outcomes The role partners closely with retail leadership and cross‑functional teams to drive engagement, support new store openings and onboarding.

What You'll Do

• Review all current training programs being used in the retail business to define & refine the training strategy, and create a roadmap for store programs, digital tools, and in-the-field training
• Identify gaps and prioritize immediate & future training needs
• Support the Area Manager and Head of Retail with engagement of training
• Complete training needs analysis and develop appropriate solution
• Lead and embed Salomon values and build a team of Store Managers that are engaged brand and product ambassadors
• Develop and implement learning strategies to boost sales, and customer loyalty across the network delivering tailored training support to unique store needs
• Create and implement training program and induction program for new starters, both from existing roles and new store openings (larger groups of new starters)
• Support Head of Retail and Area Manager with the delivery of internal communications relating to retail specific needs and company content
• Build out communication calendar with key events and initiatives to create communication plan
• Partnering cross functionally to hit key milestones of communication calendar when lead from another department
• Identify opportunities to drive engagement through communication and development opportunities
• Assist in co-ordination of relevant learning events, conferences or special retail events

About You

• Bachelor Degree in HR (L&D) and Certificate IV Training & Assessment (or equiv)
• Demonstrated experience in L&D and best for that organisation and needs
• Experience in learning related programs within a retail setting
• Highly developed communication and organisation skills
• Demonstrated experience in reporting and analysing learning data
• Understanding of and connection to the Salomon Brand
• Experience in creating communication calendar and templates
• Demonstrated experience in leading communications across a team or division
