Regional Sales Manager (Public Sector – Local Gov)

Lead and drive sales engagements in the public sector, focusing on local government customers. You will be responsible for meeting and exceeding your quota by crafting and implementing strategic territory plans that target deployments of the Palo Alto Networks Next Generation Security Platform. This role offers an opportunity to displace competing technologies and win market share through consultative selling.

Responsibilities

  • Create and implement strategic account plans focused on attaining enterprise‑wide deployments.
  • Understand the strategic competitive landscape and customer needs to effectively position Palo Alto Networks solutions.
  • Engage a programmatic approach to demand generation, development, and expansion within your territory.
  • Leverage prospect stories to create compelling value propositions tailored to each account.
  • Stay updated on industry news and trends that impact Palo Alto Networks products and services.
  • Travel as necessary within your territory and for company‑wide meetings.

Qualifications

  • Experience and knowledge of SaaS‑based architectures, ideally in a networking and/or security context.
  • Experience cultivating mutually beneficial relationships with channel partners to support a channel‑centric go‑to‑market approach.
  • Ability to lead all aspects of the sales cycle, including qualification, development, and closing of new white‑space territories and accounts.
  • Deep knowledge of the U.S. DoW and/or intelligence community or civilian agencies.
  • Successful track record selling complex solutions.
  • Excellent time‑management skills and the ability to work independently with high levels of autonomy.
  • Highly competitive, able to ramp quickly, and pride yourself on exceeding production goals.
  • Active security clearance.

Employment Details

Remote position with a hybrid team model. Travel is required within the territory and for company meetings.
