Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for guests, performing check‑in and check‑out procedures and billing.
  • Validate and manage reservations, ensuring accuracy.
  • Provide information and assistance regarding the city of Toulouse, surrounding attractions, and hotel services.
  • Handle all front‑desk activities including luggage assistance, handling guest complaints courteously and professionally.
  • Process payments and reconcile the daily cash drawer.
  • Use PMS (OPERA preferred) and credit procedures correctly.
  • Prepare and manage guest requests such as wake‑up calls, laundry billing, and extra bed setup.
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer information and ensure secure handling of electronic and paper mail.
  • Communicate and coordinate with other hotel departments to meet guest needs.
  • Assist with hotel amenity management including market, bar fridge supplies, cleanliness of common areas, and promotional activities.
  • Participate in team meetings, share customer feedback, and support colleagues across services (including potential night or shuttle duties).
  • Adhere to Marriott policies, safety and hygiene procedures, and respond promptly to escalated issues.
  • Answer telephone calls using proper etiquette, and limit unanswered rings to a maximum of three.
  • Keep the front desk and back‑office areas clean and organized.
  • Provide excellent hospitality and problem‑solving consistently, demonstrating flexibility in schedule.
  • Maintain French fluency and operational English; advanced level of English is required. Third language is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Hotel industry education (Bac Pro or BTS).
  • Successful experience in a similar role (internships accepted), preferably within an international chain.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer‑service skills.
  • Advanced English proficiency; third language (e.g., German) is a plus.
  • Rigorous, organized, and dynamic with a keen sense of customer relations.
  • Knowledge of OPERA software highly appreciated.

Contract & Compensation

Contract: Permanent (CDI), immediately available.Salary: €2,300 – €2,400 gross per month (dependent on experience and profile).
