Your mission
As a Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA) Engineer , you are responsible for delivering risk quantification studies on complex industrial and energy projects. You ensure that risk analyses are robust, compliant with project requirements, and delivered on time and within budget, supporting safe design and informed decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
Your responsibilities
Risk quantification & studies
- Perform all risk quantification activities , including QRA development using Safeti® , and produce associated Calculation Notes and reports.
- Carry out consequence modelling and hazard analysis, including:
- Accident phenomenology (flammable/toxic dispersion, fire, explosion),
- Hazard Analysis Studies and consequence modelling,
- Apply Multi-Energy approach , including definition of congested areas.
- Ensure follow-up and coordination of RAM studies (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability).
- Contribute to plot plan reviews from a risk and loss prevention perspective.
- Monitor progress, ensuring compliance with schedule milestones and allocated budget.
- Manage interfaces with Project Management, Clients, Partners, and engineering disciplines (Process, P&ID, Piping & Materials, Civil, E&I, Packages, etc.).
- Prepare responses to client comments and issue Engineering Queries when clarification is required.
- Identify inconsistencies in the Basis of Design and raise them to the project team.
- Participate in regular coordination meetings with the Risk Quantification Lead or Head of Department.
- Issue weekly progress reports and present risk studies when required.
- Perform all activities in accordance with project procedures (HSE, quality, document control, interface management).
- Formalize feedback and share experience with the Risk Quantification Department.
- Contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement of methodologies and tools.
Your profile
- Education: Master’s degree in Engineering (Process, Chemical, Safety, Risk, or equivalent).
- Experience: Proven experience (5+) as a Risk Quantification / Loss Prevention Engineer, ideally on EPC energy or LNG projects.
- Technical expertise:
- Strong background in QRA and consequence modelling.
- Proven track record using PHAST® and Safeti® for design projects.
- Knowledge of RAM studies and interfaces with safety and design disciplines.
- Assets:
- Experience with CFD tools for consequence modelling (e.g. FLACS® ).
- Familiarity with TOTAL or ADNOC standards is a plus.
