About the Role
Fantastic opportunities for child and adolescent Psychiatrists to join the expanding Psychiatry department at Vernon Jubilee Hospital. We offer a strong culture of teamwork while delivering excellence in care. Our cohesive team of 10 dedicated Psychiatrists provides service to VJH’s 35‑bed inpatient psychiatry unit, consults to the medical/surgical, women’s, children’s units and to the emergency department, and maintains a community‑based practice. The community child and youth mental health program includes individual counselling, group counselling, DBT program and integrated psychiatric services.
In this role you will enjoy variety and broad diversity, working collaboratively with our caring multidisciplinary teams in acute and community settings to provide a continuum of care across community and acute services. We also collaborate with the UBC Faculty of Medicine Southern Medical Program, giving you the opportunity to teach medical students. Those interested in a combined general adult/child and adolescent practice are likewise welcomed.
Leadership Development
Leadership Development Opportunities are available with Interior Health’s NAVIG8 Program. The NAVIG8 Emerging Physician Leaders Program is a comprehensive leadership development program designed specifically for physicians to acquire the practical leadership knowledge, behaviours and skills required for early‑career leadership roles.
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation Type: Combination
Estimated Remuneration: $300,000 – $450,000, plus MOCAP
Benefits and Incentives

- $9,000 in assistance if moving within BC
- $12,000 within Canada
- $15,000 from outside Canada
- Relocation incentives are subject to change; current rates are confirmed at the time of offer.
