Project Manager I/II/Sr. – Gas, Electric, Utility
Location: Mount Vernon, WA; Bellingham, WA; or Bremerton, WA.
As a Project Manager, you will place safety as the #1 priority in your daily work routine and lead internal and external resources to successfully complete large strategic capital projects from planning through closeout. Your responsibilities will include estimating, budgeting, scheduling, permitting, bidding, contractor management, and ensuring compliance with federal and state guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of large and complex capital projects.
- Plan, set deadlines, and monitor progress to meet project deadlines and budget guidelines.
- Serve as a liaison between the company and designers, schedulers, and contractors.
- Communicate and develop project scope, goals, timelines.
- Prepare cost estimates, schedules, forecasts and solicit input from affected parties and SMEs to make project recommendations.
- Approve final design and direct execution of new and proposed projects.
- Perform other tasks and special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications by Level
- Project Manager I – Salary $84,460–$105,570 Annual
- Working knowledge of project management practices (Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field).
- Two years project management experience or equivalent combination.
- Project Manager II – Salary $97,110–$121,390 Annual
- Working knowledge of project management practices (Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field).
- Four years project management experience or equivalent combination.
- Project Manager Sr. – Salary $117,780–$147,230 Annual
- Working knowledge of project management practices (Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field).
- Six years project management experience or equivalent combination.
Other Requirements
- Must take all measures necessary to protect networks, devices, programs and data from cyber‑attack, damage or unauthorized access.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; no sponsorships considered.
- Subject to pre‑employment drug testing and background checks.
- Required to maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Requires moderate travel (up to 25%).
Preferred Qualifications
- PMI‑Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification.
- Understanding of industrial project construction and natural gas transmission facilities.
- Prior project management experience (any level).
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in one or more of the states served by MDUG.
